— The Story

Built for the Crown

When the inaugural Indian Pickleball League dropped its first serve in December 2025, no franchise carried itself with more composure than the Hyderabad Royals. From the opening tie — a thumping 4–2 win over Capital Warriors Gurgaon — through a month of relentless pickleball, the Royals were the league's most consistent side.

Six wins in seven ties. The first team to book the final. A semifinal avenged against Chennai Super Warriors, propelled by Megan Fudge's singular brilliance. A title clash that came down to the final point.

"We've shown we belong at the top." "Consistency built this team. Momentum carried it. The silver is not the ceiling — it's the floor."

The Campaign

Road to the Final

Hyderabad opened the league with a statement — 4–2 against Capital Warriors. A round-robin stumble to Chennai was the only blemish all month. From there: unbeaten. Six straight.

In Qualifier 1, the Royals avenged Chennai. Megan Fudge singlehandedly carried the tie. Shreya Chakraborty's spark lit the rallies. Ben Newell's grit closed them out.

The final — against a Mumbai Smashers side completing a miracle climb from sixth — slipped 5–1. But the season had already told its story.
